• Week one of bathroom remodel!

  • Sorry for the delay in posting, but we’ve been busy around here!  Week one has come and gone, and here are some of the highlights! The majority of the week was spent on demolition and having the plumber and electrician rough-in.  We also framed in the new shower opening and walls.

The plumber had a great deal of work for one little old bathroom.  He had to relocate the main vent stack to allow for a medicine cabinet that will be recessed in the wall, relocate the toilet, add a second lavatory faucet, relocate the existing faucet and rough-in the new shower fixtures.

The electrician had a little bit easier time!  He added vanity sconces, relocated switches, added a heat/vent/light and got all our outlets up to code.  We also had the heat/vent/light ducted through the roof.  Once we got approval from the local building inspector and our permit signed, we insulated the exterior wall and hung sheetrock!  The first coat of mud is on the sheetrock and we are ready for week two!
